Plain terms.
These terms cover using howyouwant.com and asking How You Want, in Billings, Montana, to design something. Updated October 1, 2026.
The prices
- A website is $500.
- Software design is $1,000.
- App design is $1,000.
- A logo is $500 once you approve it.
The questions page adds up only the work you check. We repeat that total. Design starts after you approve it. Those answers are a plan, not a bill, until you approve the total.
What you get
You get the design you checked: the website, the software screens, the app screens, or the logo. We say what is included before we start. Extra work is a new total, agreed before we do it.
You own it
How You Want designs the work. When we hand the finished work to you, you own it. You can use it and keep it. It is not a rental.
Every website we hand you says this in the footer: Owned by your business. Built by How You Want. That line includes a link to howyouwant.com and a small How You Want logo beside the link.
Changes after we hand it over
- Image changes are $50 for the pictures in that request.
- A logo update is $250 each. That changes a logo you already approved. A new logo is $500, and only after you approve it.
- Adding software is $1,000. That price is for the design.
- Any other change is not on this list. Send it from the request page. It goes to caleb@howyouwant.com. We reply with a price. Nothing starts until you approve that price.
Showing the work
We show finished work on this website only if you check the box that says we may. If you leave it unchecked, we don't.
The site
The pages are here so you can see the offer and write to us. Prices can be updated on the site for new jobs. A total you already confirmed stays the total for that job.
Your messages
Don't send secrets you wouldn't want in an email, such as passwords or card numbers. How we handle personal information is in the privacy policy. To delete your information immediately, email caleb@howyouwant.com.
